Four Twenty Asoke

At Four Twenty’s newest branch, located in Asoke on Sukhumvit, there’s lots of room to grab a smoke in a café style dispensary. You can find a few high-tables with barchairs as well as regular seats with cafe tables. Great place for a quick smoke while running around and getting high in Bangkok. Comes with complimentary drink when you sit down to smoke your newly bought flower. Music at this place leans towards hiphop, making it a more upbeat and energetic place to smoke.

Sukhumweed

On the second floor of this highly renowned cannabis dispensary you’ll find a pool table, clothing store, skate ramps, growing area and so much more. The smoking lounge even has a massage chair! Energetic but still a chill vibe. Founded by Soranut “Beer” Masayavanich, it has become one of the most popular dispensaries in Bangkok amongst weed lovers and is on our list of the most iconic places to visit. Paying a visit to Sukhumweed will for sure be an experience in itself and not just a place to smoke. This is one of the places where weed history in Thailand is made.

Thonglor Hemp Club (THC)

Hidden away in Thonglor, you can find Thonglor Hemp Club. A small but cozy dispensary with several seats. Budtenders are knowledgeable and they have a big variety of smoking accessories to rent/borrow. Less busy in the daytime than places closer to Sukhumvit road and great if you want to chill with a small group of friends. At night, it’s a different thing and the place can often get filled up with more action happening. Did someone say weed party?

Weedview Marketplace

This place is located a little bit away from the main hotspot of Sukhumvit, but not too far from the city centre. The staff consists of a local growers co-op and they grow and sell great and affordable weed. The smoking lounge is great and feels like a private bar. Although seats lack a little in comfort. You can borrow gravity bongs and all kinds of smoking equipment that you want to try out as well. They also have live music on the weekends.

Best Buds

If you’re looking to have some Korean food before or after your smoke session, there’s no better place than Best Buds. Located inside Korean Town (Sukhumvit Plaza) it is literally surrounded by restaurants. Good selection of buds and you’ll definitely find something you like. The smoking lounge is very small but fits around 7-8 people comfortably. Music and YouTube available as well as drinks and snacks. Overall a good place for a quick smoke while out and about in Bangkok.

Melts

Melts is located on the roof of Merge Hotel in Bangkok’s Chinatown and is a place to check out if you want a more lively rooftop bar scene. In addition to cannabis they also serve great cocktails. The place offers tropical vibes with great views of Bangkok. Small and private rooftop that’s great for small groups of friends. Some find the place hard to find but it is surely worth the effort if you are looking to party while you smoke, or smoke while you’re partying?

A chance to test accessories

Many smoking lounges offer a wide variety of smoking accessories for customers to use. This can be a great option for people who don’t have their own smoking supplies with them. It’s also a great way to try out different smoking devices and accessories before you buy them. Most smoking lounges will allow you to borrow smoking accessories such as pipes, bongs, gravity bongs and vaporizers. All you need to do is ask the staff for assistance. They’ll be happy to help you find what you need and show you how to use it. Some may however charge a rental fee, or deposit, but it is usually minimal and often worth it.

Highland Café

Thailand and Highland go together. Located in the Lat Prao district of Bangkok, they opened in 2019 and has been waiting ever since for cannabis to be legalized. As such they were one of the first to open up for the sale of cannabis in Bangkok. But they had already been loud supporters of decriminalisation for almost a decade.

Behind the café/dispensary stands The Highland Network who were featured in the Netflix documentary “Highland: Thailand’s Marijuana Awakening“. It all started off as a small Thai Facebook page and over the years became something large enough to sway politicians. Every cannabis smoker in Thailand has to be thankful for the work they put in to reach where we are today. In addition they have also hosted seven cannabis festivals in the country, long before legalisation. For these reasons we think they deserve to be at the top of the list and a must visit during your trip to Bangkok.

Leaf Cannabis Cafe

Leaf also opened their doors long before weed became legal. Before legalisation they mainly operated as a café with the classic CBD infused drinks and treats. Today they are also selling a wide variety of cannabis flower, potent edibles, joints and offer you the opportunity to have a chill smoke session in their garden.

While the interior of the café might not be very special, this shop makes up for it with good vibes, fun people and delicious highs. A fair warning is that the edibles can be pretty strong so if you’re new, start with a level 1 brownie and wash it down with a delicious drink. If you’re staying in the Sathorn area of Bangkok, this place is worth a visit.
