Dank Heaven sent us a wonderful sampler of several of their best strains. They all arrived in cool small glass jars that perfectly fit a gram each. The strains were Rainbow Belts, Oregon Lemons, Kirkwood OG, Misty Kush, Bubba Kush, and Sour Face. Of these, all but the Kush’s come from seeds from the highly respected Archive Seed Bank. They’ve perfected their strains for 35 years out of Portland, USA and is known for the high quality and unique strains. We were also told that they were grown in organic living soil and given r/o water. All in the northern city of Chiang Mai.
The excitement was at the highest level when these beauties arrived and we were definitely not disappointed. The smells when we opened each jar one by one were each a joy in their own way. The terpenes and quality of these buds were on another level compared to a lot we’ve seen for sale in Thailand, often costing much more. When a gram of bud can stink up a large room with a lemony scent you know you’ve hit the jackpot. We especially recommend trying their flower if you use a dry-herb vape. It will make your smoke session feel like an elegant wine tasting.
When real flower connoisseurs ask us where to get the best weed in Chiang Mai (or nationwide with EMS), Dank Heaven is one of our most recommended places. Their buds raise the bar for what can be done locally and organically without relying on stale imports that the U.S. doesn’t want. Prices currently range from ฿400-700/gram (09/2022) which we find more than fair given the high quality. We also got a gram of their cheapest strain and it still beats many other dispensaries’ top/exotic shelves.
After receiving the sample, we have definitely been back for more. Some of our favorites we recommend (if available) include Oregon Lemons, Ginger Tea, Kirkwood OG, and Rainbow Belts. The menu does vary so the selection might be different, but all the buds hold the same high quality, coming from one single grower. You can find Dank Heaven on the infamous Loi Kroh road in Chiang Mai on the 3rd floor above Vegan Heaven. Order some drinks and food from the restaurant and sit down. Enjoy a killer view of all the passersby and enjoy some of the best buds grown in Thailand.
